Not exactly HOLY day,

      none.the.less holiday,

          set apart from other days.

Special days survive the test of time,

      collecting people,

            transcending barriers that would otherwise divide,

draw us---DRAW US to stop, to think, to remember, to rest ---

What will you think?

What will you remember?

What will you pass on?



Lovely things: chocolate, flowers, heart-shaped cookies, heart-felt sentiments.

Not for love birds only, but for all.

Not merely mush,

but remember that this DAY,

everyDAY, the greatest of these is LOVE . . .

I have yet to see,

even once,

an earthly thing or achievement FILL the      v       o        i       d.

BUT. . . I have seen

extravagant LOVE

transform a soul, a marriage, a family, a people, a world.

extravagant LOVE

---eternal, on purpose, never failing,

always, always, always, always, ALWAYS!

LOVE dangerously! LOVE the unlovable! LOVE without fear! LOVE til it hurts!

NOT foolishly – NOT abusively –NOT insincerely,

BUT genuinely

ToDAY and everyDAY . . . BE a vessel of

extravagant LOVE

It is your legacy. It is your destiny. It is your inheritance.

Give IT! Give it ALL! Give it all AWAY!

Impossible? Impossible!

Promise! --- fountain that never runs dry;

               --- flour and oil that does not dwindle;

               --- loaves and fishes that yield beyond;

               --- endless day;

               --- infinity!
